Welcome to the official online home of the Springfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. It is my honor and profound joy to serve as Chapter President and to welcome you in the spirit of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.

For more than four decades, Springfield Alumnae has remained a steadfast force for good throughout Hampden County and the Greater Pioneer Valley. Through service, advocacy, education, and meaningful community partnerships, we have worked to uplift families, strengthen neighborhoods, expand opportunity, and advance equity.

We proudly carry forward the extraordinary legacy of our 22 Founders, whose vision in 1913 sparked a movement that continues to transform communities around the world. 

Today, our chapter is home to a dynamic, multigenerational sisterhood of college-educated women whose talents and experiences reflect the communities we serve. Among us are educators shaping futures, public servants strengthening communities, health professionals advancing wellness, entrepreneurs creating opportunity, and advocates committed to justice and positive change.

Guided by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, Springfield Alumnae develops and delivers programs that respond to the evolving needs of our community:

• Economic Development, advancing financial literacy, stability, and opportunity
• Educational Development, including youth initiatives such as Delta Academy and Delta GEMS
• International Awareness & Involvement, connecting local service to global impact
• Physical & Mental Health, promoting holistic wellness for all ages
• Political Awareness & Involvement, strengthening civic engagement and advocacy

These programmatic areas are more than pillars of our work; they represent our commitment to purposeful and sustainable service. From youth mentorship, scholarships, and educational enrichment to health initiatives, cultural programming, economic empowerment, and social action, our chapter strives to create meaningful impact where it is needed most.

Educational excellence remains especially important to Springfield Alumnae. Through scholarships and youth development initiatives, we invest in the promise, leadership, and achievement of future generations. Each scholarship we award represents more than financial support; it is an affirmation that we believe in the potential of the young people we serve and, in their ability, to shape a brighter future.

We also recognize that lasting change is rarely accomplished alone. Strong communities are built through collaboration, and we value the relationships we have established with nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, businesses, families, and community partners throughout the region. We welcome opportunities to partner, sponsor, and co-create initiatives that strengthen our collective impact.
