The Springfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on Saturday, December 5, 1981, in Springfield, Massachusetts, by twelve visionary women whose dedication laid the foundation for a chapter rooted in sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
Our charter members are Kim Allen, Deborah Heath Carpenter, Clara Childs, Loris Epps, Denise Ewin, Robyn Frances, Lillie P. Hickerson*, Mary Nicholson*, Janice Okudzeto, Cynthia Roberson, Celia Brown Saylor*, and Andrea Stone. Their leadership, commitment, and foresight established a legacy that continues to inspire generations of members.
Since its chartering, the Springfield Alumnae Chapter has proudly grown through ten membership lines, each contributing its own unique spirit, leadership, and dedication to the chapter's continued success.
